What is this town like? I am looking at a house there but did some quick research and see that there was a drive by shooting in february of this year and a shooting/robbery at a doctor's office last year. Are these isolated incidents or is this town becoming unsafe?

Let's see, one crime per year... I'd call that pretty safe.

I moved to Bellevue about a year ago and have had zero problems with crime. I would say it was an isolated incident.

Bellevue is a really nice neighborhood. Don't worry.

The boys that did the shooting were not Bellevue/local boys. It was most likely a drug deal gone bad (duh-that's new)but unfortunately wound up taking place about a block away from the main business district after a car chase between the boys.
The doctor's office shooting was done by a Bloomfield man . Both of these crimes were transient. The crime index for Bellevue is a low 3/10 for violent crime and a very low 1/10 for property crime.Trust me ; unless it's some fluke incident you will be pretty safe here.
