Here are links to the missing assignments... I have all but #19...

# 12 = Motion
https://www.city-data.com/forum/photo...12-motion.html

# 20 = Storytellers
https://www.city-data.com/forum/photo...rytellers.html

# 21 = Glass
https://www.city-data.com/forum/photo...-21-glass.html

If I had to guess, I think # 19 was named "Fall Theme" - its in the right time frame, but was never given the title 'Assignment'

Isn't #19 the one that was changed to November in your home state?

It started out with a Fall theme but I think it got changed because some of us weren't able to participate because it wasn't Fall where we are, so it got changed so we could all participate. Least I think that's what happened.

No, the Home State was two separated photo threads.

I don't know how or why. Every month the "In Your Home
State" runs no matter what season or weather type. The theme changes as per previous winner.

Thanks for researching. The dates do not add up - This thread you are referring to is dated in 2007.

Perhaps this was the lost Assignment # 19

An impromptu Assignment - Per the thread, ShepsMom was on vacation and didn't have a back up to post the Assignment while she was gone... so the CD Members went with the flow and made it up as they went along.

Amen! One is enough, there are far too many, its too confusing, and I hate to say it but its one of the primary reasons I am not here that much anymore.

Number 19 was the one when Shepsmom was on vacay, and I put the idea of the theme of "Images that Represent Love" out there, and folks ran with it. It fell immediately after #18, therefore, it did become number 19. No one ever changed the thread title, so it stuck at "No New Assignment This Week?".

I have come up with a few ideas for weekly assignments going forward. Please help me out with what you think about them by voting yes/no against the number, and providing feedback if necessary.

1. New assignments posted on Wednesday night: The idea here is to provide couple of days to come up with an idea, and the weekend to go play with camera, while the thoughts about the assignment is still fresh. Current plan is Sunday thru Saturday.

2. Relaxation on age of pictures to no more than a week old: Current rule requires pictures be taken in current week. However, I feel, it puts a limit on creativity and opportunities, and changing it could invite greater participation. Someone might have been creative just a few days earlier on a technique that is, coincidentally, now the assignment.

3. Pictures no more than 800 px wide.

4. Pictures no more than 640 px wide.

5. Pictures no more than 600 px wide.

6. Panaromic pictures be limited to above rules as well.

I hope to hear soon, and have a new assignment posted by tomorrow night.
