Curious, why buy an action instead of an IR filter and take real IR images?

Well, from what I have read you need to convert your camera. I wasn't aware of an IR filter. Do you have a link?

Some cameras are more IR sensitive than other but few require a conversion to attempt IR photography. You can purchase filters from many places. One I like is 2filters.com.

Thanks for the info. I have a Rebel XT and I think it requires a conversion.

No, it can be done without conversion. You'll just use a longer exposure and that exposure will be long enough to require a tripod.

There are two ways to post a photo. First is the “attachment” that appears as a thumbnail. The second is an “image” and a url address from a photo site like photobucket or flickR. (these two come to mind)

Attachment photos are pictures off of your pc. Images are photos off of a website.

If it’s an attachment you need to upload it to C-D, then add it to your posted message. When you preview your post it will appear as the thumbnail ~ and will enlarge when others click on it.

If you’re using the “image” then you must upload the photo first to the photo site you’re using ~ after the upload acquire the url address for that picture and when using the “image” being added to your message or post you can click image button or paste the url address and add the code [img] before the url and [ /img ] after the url. (remove the spaces within the brackets [ ] .

Was this any help? Provide more info on which way you're trying to add the photo and how you're doing it.
