Just playing around with the one picture I had taken years ago of the old church in New Mexico. I’m not using Photoshop ~ it’s Paint.net a freeware program. Seems like a little fun if you get the right photo to work with.
The original and two copies.
Ok, last one. Someone else post your photoshop work!!!
Thanks for looking!!!!!!
Oh man. Don't get me started. I have gigs of .psd files. I love old and I love distressed, so I'll find something relevant to post.
A couple of things that I, personally, would do to the cracked look you have going is add another layer, render black/white clouds (and you can "difference cloud" it a few times for contrast if you want), add noise, blur it slightly and change the blending mode to overlay, soft light or screen. Lower the opacity of that layer if it's too obvious. That makes it look grainier and older, rather than having crisp looking buildings.
But that's what I would do, personally. Here are some of mine:
I was playing with a tutorial for how to imitate HDR photography in PS:
A dark, grungy pic of my boyfriend. He's not really evil:
In fact, this is how he really is:
An old abandoned shed in Arizona. Played with levels and blended color layers:
I did a photoshoot last year with this band, then photoshopped a few pics:
And this one's from this year's photoshoot. I turned them into comic characters with the pen tool and lots of layers:

I tried what you suggested let me know what you think????
This started from a HDR how to, but I like where it ended up!!!
