These were taken on Anastasia Island (St. Augustine, FL). I got to chat with the light house keeper who gave me some great info on the place. At the top of the light house he told me stories about his great grandfather, who was the keeper of the original light house. It was washed into the sea in a hurricane. There are tales of this being haunted, the ghosts of 2 little girls that were killed in a railcar during original construction. This place has a great history and a better view.
What awesome pics OMR. They are truly amazing. looking at the third one, felt like i needed to grab onto a railing.
You have to love the stories that go along with these pictures. (any picture for that matter)
West Quoddy Head - Lubec ME The easternmost point in the U.S.
I had taken these pics a few years ago but on my last trip to the area dramamama and I walked out to the East Quoddy Head lighthouse, which can only be done at low tide.
What interesting lighthouses, Elnina! You must take good notes in addition to great photos to keep all the names, dates, etc. straight. You're amazing.
