That's even worse.

We knew well over a month ago that asymptomatic people were capable of transmitting the virus to others. So, what sense would it make to put "young, healthy" people on a giant petrie dish so they can later transmit it to others upon their return?

In other words, by 1-2 people going on a cruise with Covid-19, you're nearly guaranteeing that 600 others return home with it. No matter how you slice it, it is stupid because his irresponsible statement gives the impression that it's safe for others.

And to think we're going to get these corporate shills for another 4 years.

Plenty of lazy and stupid to go around. It certainly is not isolated to politicians.
For some twisted reason the media feels obligated to regurgitate what they're told and report that 11 out of 10 people dying daily succumb from Covid-19.

Journalists: How about doing your jobs and investigate the actual cause of death for these poor souls so the public can quit being fed this constant diet of propaganda? The "experts" have a vested interest in seeing their prognosticating becoming reality. It's actually quite sick.

Time will surely prove who was Pollyanna and who was Chicken Little.

For starters, you cannot have "11 out of 10 people dying" unless you are looking at cats with 9 lives. I have to assume that was a typo.

Saying that, in the USA and pre-COVID-19, about 7700 people die on average per day. See https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/68/wr/mm6826a5.htm . COVID 19 had 2,000 deaths in the USA yesterday. So the real percentage is 21% of the deaths in the USA yesterday was from COVID-19. or 2000 COVID deaths/(7700 normal deaths+2000 COVID deaths)*100 or 21%. That number will probably peak in a weekish at 50% of the total deaths. You know, "just like the flu".

wow, you got me there...I better head back to my basement, and get back into my bubble; this thread is loaded with mean people now, sadly, all attacking anyone who doesn't agree with them, wanting to argue, castigate, and put down people even as the apocalypse prepares to wipe out mankind...

so sad what CD has turned into..I sure wont miss it..
