Mdez, I walked the streets of present day Clifton several times over Easter weekend. I thanked a neighbor who on his own cuts the grass and shovels the snow of my elderly relative in Clifton. He is working class white. I recognized much of the Clifton I grew up in with kids playing outside, the volunteer fire department siren going off, ordinary people at the Giant in Primos thanking the butcher for the extra care they take, and folks picking up their mail at the small town post office. All small things and all "white trash" working class in Clifton Heights or "the dump it is today" as you call it. It is so easy to denigrate other people when you don't know the struggles they face or live in their shoes.

Hadn't been to the Clam Tavern in eons (we don't live in DelCo). We went last night and had a terrific meal...we were stuffed! I can't imagine what Friday and Saturday nights are like there, as it was pretty busy last night.

I understand the Broadway is owned by the same people that own the Clam Tavern. Will have to try it out next time.

There are a couple "Best in Delco" accolades shared between those restaurants, and I've got to agree. The crab fries at Broadway are smothered in lump crab meat. It's kind of decadent.

Mod cut: Quoted post deleted.

Mod cut.

Yes there is some white trash in Clifton but it's a small percentage. Meanwhile, kids from the parts of the county with more money keep getting hooked on drugs and committing crimes. Sounds pretty white trash to me. Like the guy from Havertown who burned down his Clifton rowhome because he was high and the community raised money for him and his family no questions asked. When was the last time parts of the county with money did that for anybody who had a house burn down?

Mod cut.
