I have the opportunity to relocate to Newark, De with my current employer and have a few questions. I am married with 2 young children and schools are extremely important, which is why I am thinking PA over DE. Would like to be within 45 mins to Newark, DE and have excellent schools for the kids. Wife would like to be in a community in order to make friends easier. I can spend up to 500k and would like a 4 bedroom home. I have looked in Chadds Ford area but not many homes in my price range also looked in Garnet Valley and cant seem to find the community setting. Thanks in advance.

Try Malvern, PA. Small community on the western edge of the "Main Line." It's part of the well-regarded Great Valley School District. You may also want to consider West Chester Borough.

Suggest you post in the DE forum. There are good school districts to the northeast and south of Newark that might save you a 45 minutes commute.

Malvern and West Chester would make for a bear of a commute into Newark.

OP: have you tried the Kennett Square area?
