Philadelphia Pennsylvania LDS (Mormon) Temple

Anyone else see homage to the Ind Hall Bell tower in this design?

Just as an interesting point worth noting... it's very typical for the Church to bring the history of the area (i.e. the community, state or country) into the design of the temples it builds, so what you're seeing is by no means a coincidence.

Well personally I like the design and think it brings a great design to the area

Further thought I like the placement even more, with other nearby religious Institutions on the parkway it plays well here as Philly/PA were originally setttled as refuge for religious freedom

That looks interesting, seems like N Broad is really getting some positive things - hope this will become some type of iconic message to suggest open for business. Would love to see commercial/research development from Vine to Temple in some form.

Thanks for the link

I agree, some may say it's a waste of money but it could attract more businesses on Broad. Now if only someone could renovate The Lorraine. That building is gorgeous.

I dont think its a waste of money. I think it looks cool. North Broad still looks dead compared to South Broad.
