There was some discussion on the ME development plan though would likely only impact a few blocks due to on and off ramps and configuration. There is speculation that the 676 portion from 16th t0 18th will be covered though not holding my breatch on any of these

He's already got the State Building. I think its really interesting to watch North Broad garnering more attention recently. I guess we should have seen it coming though. Development from Northern Liberties is essentially stopped from moving outwards due to the Richard Allen Homes housing project, which is a huge drag on that part of the city. Redevelopment was squeezed up the 2nd - 5th St corridor, over Girard Ave and then over into Fishtown, and now that's even moving back around to swallow up the projects by moving back west from Fishtown into the Norris Square neighborhood. Yorktown is sort of an island of stable working class amidst the subsidized nightmare that is that part of North Philadelphia, and so not really being effected by any of this, so development is bypassing it. Since all that demand can't be met in Northern Liberties, it's now hopping across the projects onto North Broad. I think it'll be great. If a use is found for the Diving Lorraine and the Metropolitan Opera building, and if the vacant/underused lots, like the Broad and Girard KFC lot get bought up and redeveloped, we could see a rejuvenated urban fabric from CC all the way up to Temple University.

Apparently he may also own or in process of buying the Inquierer building. there is also the development with Vetri and Starr and restaurants in the area to. it just make too much sense for this area as a next progression. there is also much land for larger scale developments opne in the area not to mention BSL access
