This is true. Did they ever build something on the site of Moyamensing prison?

I don't know. That's a site that I wouldn't want to see housing on. While doing the research on some individuals in one of my families, I became aware that if there was a conviction that was going to end in a hanging, they were sent to Moyamensing. There's enough places to live in Philadelphia that are probably haunted.

Yes, I believe the prison was there.

So, Is Aramark Looking to Move? - Business, News

This would be a huge blow if Aramark left Phiadelphia. A move to the Navy Yard would be great for the Navy Yard, but not so great for CC. A move to NJ would be catastrophic, at least move the PA burbs if they have to relocate there. Hopefully they remain in CC.

That's correct. Acme with a large parking lot sits where the old prison used to sit. There are parts of the old prison wall remaining along Reed.

Thanks. That's one piece of land that I wouldn't want to see housing on.

A Beacon is Rising on Walnut Street | Naked Philly

I may have posted a while back, but here is an updated rendering of the Walnut project. This is one of favorite new projects in the city.

That is interesting. Are they out of room in their current building? I would think 2400 market would be significantly more inconvenient for most of their employees. The current building is basically right on top of Jefferson station whereas 2400 market would be a bit of a hike from either 30th st or suburban station.

Losing Aramark would be a huge blow to the City.
