Mte! I was being snarky previously but the housing around KOP has never been upscale. Younger folks here, and in the area, have no idea that the mall grew from a discount strip shopping center. It reflected the community. Conshy, W. Conshy, Bridgeport, Norristown( which does have some okay late Victorian houses) were very blue collar.

I haven't looked further into exactly where the spur will run. Is it adjacent to RT 202? Will there be a stop between, say, Gulphs Mills and the mall?

The project might actually benefit the entire area eventually by easing some of the traffic headaches.

Septa has a website with some possible maps. Most have the extension running along 76 276 and 202, however, anything south of 76 enters the Gulph Mills area, which has a lot more very well to do people than north of the mall.

It would probably be easier to work the line along 202 anyway, more retail and congestion, once you go south of the mall it turns into wooded residential.

The Mormon Temple is almost done btw.
I was thinking that it would be taller.
They did a good job architecturally to make the building "blend in" with surrounding buildings.

You'd think the Main Liners would have more of an understanding (or respect) for the fact that their communities resulted directly from trains.

You will be able to go inside the Temple sometime in August for tours as I've heard.

Mormons spare no expense in building their stuff. The workmanship is always superb.

They recently built one out here and it is a really nice building. I would recommend taking the tour during the open hours. Definitely an interesting look.
