Yep I'm aware of that, but they said they wouldn't break ground on that until spring of 2015. I was just listing everything expected to break ground this year.

The Mellon Independence Tower isn't winning any architectural awards, but I think it's innocuous enough. It's important to keep in mind also that they were designing the tower to not compete with the historic architecture of the Lit Brothers building. Another part of it is that the rendering could be better.

I also do not understand why the developer needs to build that tower within the existing building, when there is plenty of space and bad architecture in the area already.

don't they already it though?

And that leaves the lots as potential for larger scale more impactful developments - would rather commercial and jobs

all big ifs
