Yes, that’s very good news. Hopefully he has the ability to get this done.

New York developer plans luxury tower on vacant Rittenhouse Square parcels
https://www.bizjournals.com/philadel...roperties.html

A New York developer bought three vacant parcels in the heart of Philadelphia's Walnut Street retail corridor and plans to build a luxury high-rise residential tower.

Brooklyn-based Brookliv has acquired the properties at 1706, 1708 and 1710 Walnut St., a block away from Rittenhouse Square. The parcels, currently rubble, are in Center City's commercial mixed-use district zoned CMX-5.

Brookliv CEO Ari Weber told the Business Journal that assembling the trio of vacant lots means the company could build a tower, most likely for apartments, with 30 or more stories and 250,000 square feet of space.

“It’s going to be the nicest building,” Weber said. “It’s going to be what Philly deserves. Beautiful, luxury, high-end.”

Brookliv has developed small-scale projects in New York, Weber said, but none like what he is proposing for Walnut Street. The development would be Brookliv’s first in Philadelphia.
Watch it fill with Brooklyn transplants once completed.

The parking lot on the SW corner of Arch/20th Street is closed, fenced-off, and signg for CHUBB's new headquarters building are up. This must have happened in the last couple days.

Groundbreaking is obviously at-hand.

Wonder if that old and historic ''filling station'' structure is going to be preserved somewhere?

18 stories/257' tall.

Like the design and look of the CHUBB building way better just about completed building over at 22/Market.

The gas station is going on the edge of the Franklin Institute lawn.

There is so much happening in that pocket of Center City West. The Chubb building, Calder Gardens, 2301 JFK, 21st & Ludlow, etc. Great to see.

Do you know exactly where? I would assume the SW corner of the property.

Got it, thanks! That makes more sense than it being on the Franklin Institute property.

SW, or NE?

SW corner is a senior living residence.

SW corner of the park, probably.
