Yeah, that's a huge upgrade for that location and a great concept. Really starting to see East Market take off. The great thing is that there is soooo much available storefront that we could really see a huge pick-up in velocity in the coming months.

And that massive parking garage at 11th and Chestnut is getting demolished soon. Chestnut only has a few more patches to fill in once that project kicks off. Market still has a ways to go on both sides, but each month there seems to be another large announcement.

I'm so happy now that the area will be more of what it used to be. And more importantly not just about retail but as a place to live. The units in Ludlow are really quite nice, btw.

I believe those are rentals, but I've been reading recently how housing construction has slowed considerably over the last couple of years. Many economists expect this Fall to feature real bidding wars for housing. We haven't seen a real estate market like that for quite a long time. That could be very good news for Philly as it might enable developers to spread outward even more - to Kensington, Gray's Ferry, deeper West Philly and around Temple, possibly even further north.
