Not really a tower, but excellent design.
There are also announcements about the Girard(part of the East Market) and the new Sr housing stuff coming to 12th and Sansom on philly.curbed. Great additions.

In passing, Milkboy has terrific fried chicken. Had it over the weekend.

Yeah, that's a huge upgrade for that location and a great concept. Really starting to see East Market take off. The great thing is that there is soooo much available storefront that we could really see a huge pick-up in velocity in the coming months.

Love it.

And that massive parking garage at 11th and Chestnut is getting demolished soon. Chestnut only has a few more patches to fill in once that project kicks off. Market still has a ways to go on both sides, but each month there seems to be another large announcement.

Speaking of " Both sides of Mkt St." Does anyone know why that wrap around digital sign on the corner building at 20th & Market has been off for the past few months?

I'm so happy now that the area will be more of what it used to be. And more importantly not just about retail but as a place to live. The units in Ludlow are really quite nice, btw.

I actually looked up the Girard and Ludlow buildings this week, very nice layouts and amenities, and commanding steep prices and still selling out, shows the demand is there.

Still much more affordable than where I'm at though :/

I believe those are rentals, but I've been reading recently how housing construction has slowed considerably over the last couple of years. Many economists expect this Fall to feature real bidding wars for housing. We haven't seen a real estate market like that for quite a long time. That could be very good news for Philly as it might enable developers to spread outward even more - to Kensington, Gray's Ferry, deeper West Philly and around Temple, possibly even further north. If we can get those neighborhoods more density in the next year or two, it very well might be the tipping point for the city...
