Another round of buyouts/layoffs was announced on 5/23 for the Inquirer which has had a death rattle for a while. It may actually die this time.

I don't try to sound tough. I've had too comfortable of a life to really ever be "tough". And why the hell would I want to be a cop as a gay, liberal, city-loving twenty-something? Also, yeah, as MB1562 said, the job of police officer entices those with a proclivity to want to engage in violence and to exert power over others. It's part of the job. So it shouldn't be unexpected when it attracts the worst people in society.
