It truly could be. It's such a dead zone right now but it's minutes away from all that many think is cool about Philly right now.

Westward there's another huge project coming to 46th and Woodland Ave.

A nice step towards revitalizing that dead area. The dialysis center next door, the SS admin building and surface lots, etc. all make it look like a wasteland. And Callowhill in that stretch is a cluster**** of 4 lanes of switching, and no calming measures coming off of 95. Hopefully this project makes the immediate area more walkable.

Does anyone know who owns the lots around the stadiums.

It would seem like these could be prime apartment or even commercial development sites.

They have direct BSL access and could be developed along the streets with open lots behind. it would seem the development air rights could be sold and retail added.

Am curious on this

Looks lie the Gallery is about to receive an injection of cash: Long-awaited Pa. grant for Gallery could mean progress for major revamp

I know I'm not the only one who's disappointed that this will be a factory outlets mall. Perhaps with low expectations I'll be surprised. One thing that will help define the center will be up the restaurants they draw.

Regardless, it will nice to finally see progress on the white elephant sitting vacant in the middle of Market East.

Can someone cut/paste todays Phila Business Journal article about making Independence Mall a Theme Park. Councilman Oh wants to make it a theme park.

Anything would help that boring spot.
