Now that work has again started on the other part of the building that houses Med Express, does anyone know for sure what's going in there? I think Aspen Dental is confirmed, but what about the other part? I've heard a wing place and I've heard Five Guys. I've also heard Five Guys is going into Lewisburg and they've "broken ground", according to a not-very-reliable source. Anyone know anything about that? Thanks!

No ground broken yet in Lewisburg for Five Guys. The developer for Plaza 15 has it listed on the proposal for the new building in the lot, but other than that, I haven't heard anything on a timetable for the project.

Is the Aspen Dental going on the side closest to Texas Roadhouse? Thought they were going in the middle unit but see they have been doing inside/outside work at the little one on the end.

I can't believe I didn't remember West Coast Video closing down in Selinsgrove. Seems like it was open a few months ago but somebody said it's been about a year? Amazing how time flies.

Any new rumors going about on the opening of the new Weis? The construction is driving my family bonkers! Can't wait to see what the finished store/location will look like.

I have it on good authority the opening of the new Weis' will be August 23rd. We live out Route 204 and the traffic interruptions are driving us bonkers too!

Thanks Dawne! I'm super excited to see the finished store. Looks like they ramped things up a bit the past few days.

Sadly, I have it on good authority that the Mercado Burrito in Selinsgrove is now closed indefinitely. I sure am going to miss them being there. I imagine that fuel costs will go up for me, as I now will have to travel to Lewisburg for a delicious burrito!

Where do you find a delicious burrito in Lewisburg? I've lived in Snyder County for 2 years now and haven't found one yet.

If you have ever tried Mercado Burrito and liked it, there is still one in Lewisburg.

I never tried it but will give it a shot.

I'm originally from San Diego so it is tough for me to find good mexican food without making it myself. I may have to explore opening my own taco shop on the strip.

Talk about a major culture shock, San Diego to the Susquehanna Valley!

Good luck with anything that's not a Meat and Potatoes type of place, people in that area do not tend to eat much ethnic food and think Taco Bell is good Mexican. Other's tried, years ago and gave up. "The Teddy Bear" was a Mexican place in Selinsgrove, owner was from California and this is going back to the late 70's early 80's.

I no longer live in PA, left a while ago, but have relatives there when I come back I am amazed how slow things move and places that are long gone, people have tried inducing Culture but often they do not succeed as the mentality that exists is resistant to change. It's slowly changing, but at a snails pace.

Last I heard Marzoni's is opening next to Sheetz before Christmas my cousin said by the looks of it work is nearing completion, though more typical Americana food which should do well there.
