I think you shot down the "family restaurant" argument with that statement. You wouldn't say something like that about going to IHOP, Texas Roadhouse or Chili's would you? Those are the kinds of places that come to mind when somebody mentions going to a family restaurant.

Saying that was just a joke to them really - I'm not naive enough to believe something like that. It's like catching a 15 year old son watching the cheerleaders instead of the football players -- it's normal heterosexual behavior.

Just like catching a 15 year old daughter watching the football players but she doesn't know what the score is.

Oh - and I didn't say it was a "famly restaurant" which I think Burger King and McDonalds and Peter Piper Pizza are -- it's a sports bar. That's all it is - and the girls look and act like cheerleaders at sports events. They aren't wearing nun's outfits but that's the extent of it.

I didn't see much to offend - in fact the men there alone were just sitting there -- BORING - most were watching television, not looking at the girls at all.

The very worst thing besides seeing girls in shorts and t-shirts - which they see all the time anyhow was the waitress explained that they have a birthday skit but only with parents' permission - I asked them what rating their skit was, they said PG so I said go ahead. All it was -- they made a 16 year old kid stand on a chair and put two balloons under a shirt they gave him, sang happy birthday -- made him the center of attention and objectified him while everyone laughed and clapped. They signed the shirt and he got to keep it. Nothing more sexual than that.

A lot of the girls had average or small busts -- it really wasn't anything and I'm as much a prude as anyone.

No lap dances, no touching. People who let their kids watch Miley Cyrus gyrate for their kids are allowing far worse.

I had to read your post twice

You really said that to your son about helping him not to be gay?
I cant believe that you allowed them to do that to your older son-I dont find that funny-to me it seems sad-i feel sorry for him-there seems to be some issues with boundaries-

i go back to-any place that is named for a slang for womens body parts is not a place for children-as parents we dont need to be the ones to ok that-they will get enough of that outside the home where companies will get rich off selling that to them-

Little kids really think it's about owls - so no big deal with them and by the they're big enough to get the double meaning, hooters as a term is mild. And they see nothing but t-shirts, they see nothing. Or nothing they wouldn't see at school and if you allow them to go to school, you can count on it - they've already heard far worse. Probably seen far worse too.

Actually if you let them watch Hannah Montana or Simpsons, you've corrupted them more than a dinner at Hooters would.

I think I'll take my kids to HOOTERS Wed for dinner? They will see attractive women work hard too. Of course the boys who are 15 and 17 will love it there. The girls 10 and 8 will get a kick out of teasing their brothers..

However, I think we should all end this thread. It's obvious, Ms. XX Babee Chick works for Hooters and thinks it's a wonderful place for children
and regardless what anyone says, she'll have some retort about how wonderful it is.
