Anyone have any ideas for halloween costumes for my 3 boys...I like to try to coordinate them if possible. For example, last year my twins were both firefighters and the baby was a dalmation. This year they will be 5, 5, and 2 years old. (three boys). Any ideas?

We have done Star Wars theme where the baby was Yoda.

This year, my 10-yo is going to be Draco Malfoy, I am Prof. McGonagall, and the 2-yo is going to be Norbert the baby Dragon. 10-yo is trying to convince the 6-yo brother to be Harry Potter, and my 7-yo daughter is going to go as Hermione Granger at night when it is cold, and Hannah Montana during the day when it is warm (she will just put the Gryffindor robes over the dress when the weather turns chilly).

I have heard of things like salt and pepper (and the baby could be tabasco), or ketchup and mustard (baby could be relish?).

Good luck!

ghostbusters and slimer

Fred,Shaggy, and Scooby Do

For the science/humor minded:
States of Matter: Liquid, solid, gas.
Circumference: Dress one as a Pie, one as the letter R, and one as a box. (Pi r squared)
Primary colors: Red, Blue, Yellow

Alternate: A stop light: red, yellow, green boxes that line up when they stand together.

Two hydrogen molecules and an oxygen molecule.

Your two year old could be a basketball, and your five year old's could be professional basketball players.

Your five year old's could be bread, and your 2 year old could be peanut butter and jelly.

Your five year old's could be french fries, and your 2 year old - ketchup.

Your five year old's could each be one-half of the earth (when they stand together they become the whole earth) and the two year old could be the moon. Or do the sun and the moon... something like that.

You could do Wii bowling... your five year old's could be the Wii remotes, and your two year old could be a bowling ball and could act out the game.

Or maybe each kid could be a different kind of controller - PS3, Wii, XBox... this would go over well in our house since my husband and all our guys are total game nerds.

My best friend and I were crayons when we were kids. We wanted everyone to do it so we could have a whole box, but she and I were left just being red and orange.

How cute! My boys were Anakin Skywalker and Yoda last year. It might be hard to find coordinating costumes, but I was going to suggest shopping consignment sales or stores if there are any in your area. You could find costumes only worn once or twice for just a few dollars.

Thing 1, Thing 2 and the Cat and the Hat. The kids I used to nanny for had their grandma make their costumers. The youngest could be the Cat.

Tin Man, Scarecrow and Cowardly Lion from Wizard of Oz. I bet those would be pretty simple to make.

Good luck. What fun ages!

Oh coordinating them is so cute! But, consider letting them choose individualized outfits - not as adorable, but so empowering!
