I hadn't heard that she turned down Angels group. I heard she had until tomorrow to respond. She doesn't want anyone telling herwhat to do. She clearly has issues with her Mom. Her Dad who was on Oprah yesterday was an interesting man too. He says he has to go back to wherever in a few weeks to work. He had like 8,000 in the bank when he came back and now he says he has 100.00. It is clear that this all is about her not her parents or children her. But news cast and interveiws do nothing until those that can step in and do something. I would not be surprised if that isn't what she wants at this point. She thought she would be like other couples who had muliti births, I don't think she expected people to hate her and not want to help her at all. So if they take her babies or all children then what she acts like a victum. What really would show her is to have all the press walk away and nobody care anymore. I think she will at that point do something to gain attention again. She want to be a celeb and she will take anyway she can get it.

I have tried staying out of the octomom threads because the whole thing is sickening. I am only posting now because I have seen and heard enough about this woman and I strongly feel like she needs to have most if not all of her kids taken away. She is truely being selfish as having all of these babies was all about meeting her needs with no regards as to how she would be able to meet the needs of her children. I think out of all of the news stories about various families in turmoil this woman by far is the most selfish and severly disturbed of all of the parents we have been reading about lately.
I also agree that the media should run, not walk, away from this story. They are only feeding into her and giving her what she wants which is attention. By continuing to glorify this story it is sending the wrong messages to other selfish people who could end up doing the same thing she did. I don't even care for the programs like Jon and Kate plus 8 or 17/18 and Counting (whatever it is being called now) Those people are not special, they are dilerious for having that many kids and the only reason they have the money to support them is because of freebies.
If they want to put on programs about families with a multitude of kids then do some about foster parents who have taken in a dozen unwanted and abused children. Give them the freebies and some glory for wanting to provide a safe and secure home for kids who have parents who can't or won't provide that type of home. They could do interviews with the children to find out why they are in foster care and what it was like living with their biological parents. These stories would be much more heart warming as well as heart wrenching and hopefully eye openers for folks about what selfishness on their part can do to children.

What a surprise!!! OCTO mom is in trouble! How can she care for 14 when she cannot even take care of HERSELF! I hope the hospital steps up and doesn't release them!
CPS will decide, and hopefully they won't let those babies into harms way.
Actually I was a Foster parent and did send a suggestion a few years ago to TLC to do shows on foster/adoptive families. I never heard back. Foster kids are not suppose to be flimed or in press without permission for their saftey. But there are many people who have adopted several children and it isn't easy. There is also a need for more homes. I think shows like Jon and Kate are not painting the right pictures. I don't know this story with this Mom get nutty by the day. Will there be anymore family comiing out. I just don't see the purpose of the Mom or Dad being on TV. The people they should be talking to is CPS not all of us most people don't like her already. I don't get why the Dad went on Oprah it didn't make any sense.

I had a feeling this was probably the case. Or that a seemingly safe home could potentially turn into an emotionally/mentally/physically unsafe home once any type of media outlet is allowed to come in.

I agree that they definitely are not displaying the reality of the situation or modeling good behaviors. But I also suspect that is not TLC's goal anyway - even if they say it is. Those shows generally are about extreme cases that are a departure from society's norms. Throughout history departures from the norm have generally been put on display for the mass to gawk at (and sometime for no other reason than for profit). This is no different and this is all it is.

That does make sense. Foster homes are supposed to be about being a safe place and if one was on national T.V. then it wouldn't be so safe. But still there should be some way of showcasing foster homes in some fashion and still maybe interview some of the foster kids where their identity is kept from being shown. I do also like the idea of showcasing families who have adopted multiple kids because the kids needed a permanent, secure and loving home.
Wouldn't that just put a crimp in her plans. Hahahaha, that would be great if she couldn't take those babies out of the hospital. There go her millions.... . She and her mother would have to come up with a different scam than using innocent babies.
I still don't get the pron. I don't know I had one baby at a time and I 'm sure nobody wants to see me in a prone ...even after this many years. Who wants to see her a Jolee look alike with lips that need tow truck to move. Her and Lisa Rinna must share the same needle.
