I found a pair for my son at Kohl's. I think they were having a sale and I only paid 15 dollars for them. Good luck. I went through a similar hunt when looking for black dress pants. Two trips to the mall and every other store before I finally found his size.

I'd try Target, as another poster suggested-I've even got them for my older boy at Sears, on sale. Payless has some of that inbetween size shoes too (the not-a-boy-not-yet-a-man sizes)

Thanks for all the ideas - now I know what I'll be doing this weekend. Depending on the brand, he is either 7.5 or 8, and narrow. I know this because of the shoes we've already tried.
