Do what you feel is right in your heart and gut.
(Not to be the least bit worried or give thought to what every other parent does...just do what You think is best for you and you child(ren).
And as was already mentioned...Don't sweat the small stuff!

Something that really helps me keep things in perspective, is that I remind myself,
that I am not just raising a child, but someone's future husband and father.
A dedicated and contributive citizen and employee/employer.
A future leader.
If I do not set good example myself,
if I am not strong and give him good guidelines to follow and stick to them,
if I do not follow through with what I expect from him myself...
then he is less likely to be the positive, strong man he can grow into.)
