You can't hope me to have anything. I don't have children and I never will. I see nothing positive about parenting. Are you a parent? If you are, then that's why you're saying this.

I'm a parent, and I hope you don't have children since you don't want them. That would supremely suck for both them and you.

yes i am a parent---but i didnt always want to be!
i was married 8 years before i finally felt like i wanted to have a baby. i didnt just have one to make people happy, i didnt just have one because i was married and that was the supposed next step.
i had a baby because i finally felt the desire to become a parent.
Kids are fun! Nothing like seeing Christmas - snow - Disneyworld - rain - through their eyes for the first time *again.*
Mine are grown now. I'm so proud of them!
I debated long and hard about whether to become a parent. I was not one of those people who always wanted to have children. I knew it was a huge responsibility and tons of work and if I did it, I wanted to do a good job. Now I have children and I was right about how much work it is. But the wonderful part is that your heart feels a type of love you never knew possible before you meet your children for the first time. And parenthood is like walking through a door to a world that you can only experience once you've walked through the door...you really can't adequately describe the emotions to anyone who hasn't joined you through the doorway. Parenthood is one way to really experience life very fully.
That being said, I really don't think anyone should have children who doesn't really, really want to have them. The world is just fine if some people decide parenthood isn't for them. I respect that choice because I almost decided the same thing, and I likely could have had a terrific life either way.
