Ok, well I'm off to fix dinner.

I will hide the Beanie-Weenie cans so the neighbors won't think I'm tacky!

This isn't a parenting thread. It's a tacky "let's beat up on people who don't mow their yards" thread.

I've seen it in Texas, many times.

Still, it's not tacky as much as it is ignorant and the result of a poor education.

I've seen it too. Not often, but once in a while. My cousin gave his son Sprite in his bottle and then proceeded to tell me that letting my daughter fall asleep while she was breastfeeding would give her an overbite.

I've lived all over the place, even Redneckistan, and I've never actually seen with my own eyes Co-Cola in a baby bottle.

I do have a friend whose great grandfather was a Pediatrician, and very much a Southern gentleman, definitely not tacky. He was well known to write prescriptions with the addendum of medication to be taken with a half a glass of flat Co-Cola.

Silly thread, the definitions of tacky or classy are entirely dependent on the views of each individual. And lets not get into the fact that the majority of the world find many American traditions very tacky......

I used to have a pair of light up sneakers, I think they were a large boy's size because I wore a 10 or 11 and they fit. They were LA Gear brand, that should tell you how long ago it was

You can find women's light up shoes like these: http://www.flirtylingerie.com/liupheplmuwi.html

Shoes like that would be tacky on a kid but the light up sneakers are actually really good if you're ever out after dark with your kids.

Like I stated before I pick my battles.
All I have to say is your lucky you don't live around here. All the schools around where I live, both public and private, make the children wear uniforms.

I live in Northern NJ it's not uncommon to peak in a stroller and see a toddler with a filthy face and a color bottle. Whether it be soda, fruit flavored drinks, ect.

Do you live in Northern NJ? Also, it's usually the young moms.
