That's hysterical, Dew. I'm pretty sure my MIL calls me that. I think we are proof that you can be at opposite ends of the spectrum and still get along.
When I first met her we went out to lunch and she started talking about her "causes". I said, "You really are liberal aren't you?" She said, "I'm red as a rooster!"
I love her to bits. 4'11" of sass. (She cannot understand why we moved to AZ. Even today she was complaing about something the governor here did and she said, "Aren't you embarassed to live in that state?" She's a riot.)

It's Senior Citizen's Day at the supermarket. They give the 55's and older 10% off, so the place was jammed. They put out free coffee which is nice and play the oldies on Muzak. (I hadn't heard the theme from "Hair" in a very long time.) And all the 20-somethings who work there are absolutely miserable. Between the music and the walkers it's like they emptied out the pinochle game at the retirement condos, lol.
And yes, I took my 10% discount. I am neither proud nor dumb.
