This is the second thread in my little retail poll. As with the "Lowe's or Home Depot?" thread, please explain yourselves below.

Target.
I think Target has a much better selection of clothes and that is my main reason for going there.

Although they have started carrying more "designer label" and I might have to start going elsewhere if it continues.

When I need something QUICKLY I might go to Target. However, if I have all day and don't mind not being able to get through the aisles and don't care about people who don't care about other people, then I'll go to Walmart for price.

Walmart is cheaper, closer and easier to get in and out of so I go there.

I personally prefer Target because I feel "trendy" shopping there (I know I'm shallow!) LOL! I also feel as if they probably treat their employees better at Target as opposed to Wal-Mart, and employee morale plays a vital role in where I spend my hard-earned dollars. As a big-box retail employee myself, I wouldn't want to put a dime into the pocket of a corporate goliath that mistreated its workers. There may be a Wal-Mart within walking distance of my home, but I'll still drive the eight miles to Target.

Walmart is closer, but Target is prefered, but sometimes it depends on what I'm looking for or what I need.

Walmart for low cost, Target for home interior items at good prices. Both for clothes.

When I step into a Wal-Mart, I feel like I need a good sanitation bath when I leave there. Theyre disgusting. Give me Target anyday.

I only go to Wal-Mart because it is 15 minutes away, whereas the nearest Target is about 35-40 minutes away Hopefully after I move, I will be closer to a Target!! I find Targer cleaner, somewhat more upscale with some stuff being better quality, particularly the housewares/furniture.

Default Target is more Upscale

Near my hometown there is a City named Burke. It has a Target and a Walmart. It is amazing to me how different the shoppers are at each store.

Target has a richer crowd with white faces, clear skin, nicer clothes, in shape (thin) and driving in nicer cars.

Walmart has mostly poor and working class people. Lots of fat people, tattoos, junk cars in the parking lot and non English speaking people.
