I was going to vent about me having to take clothes to the laundromat since our well keeps drying up.....but after thinking about Mr. Lucky Lady and his problems, my problems seem miniscule. Best thoughts for Mr. and Mrs. Lucky Lady!

So I went to the local grocery store for cat food and I had a coupon for $1.00 of of 24 cans any flavor. I get to the store and they had individual cans and a carton of 24 cans of various flavors. So I picked it up the carton and headed for the quick check out stand.
The checker rings up my purchase, I hand him the coupon and he says you need 24 cans. I point to the wording on the carton that shows the quantity of the carton is 24 cans.
Nope he sez,you have to have 24 individual cans.
I sez, where on the coupon does it say that.
I get that perplexed look and I sea take it off the register and I will open the carton, dump them out and you can ring up the 24 cans separately.
Meanwhile the line behind me is getting longer and I'm hearing snickers from the other customers.
A assistant manager just happens by and notice whats going on. The checker shows her the coupon, I show her the carton.
She rolls her eyes, over rides the checker, I pay him and off I go to the sound of applause.
Now in all fairness the checker is kinda new at this store, the assistant manager has bee around for awhile and knows we patronize the store and that one of our sons works at another store that she has previously worked at
As I walked out, she looked at me and wink and said, "I'll have a talk to him about common sense."

I'm grateful that I was able to smell gas and it turned out to be a tiny leak. As a result, the gas dude turned off the gas to my heater and now I have to wait for the plumber to return to repair the leak. Seems that I've had non-stop issues with this heater that was only installed in late 2011!
To all of you that posted your thoughts and prayers I really do appreciate it...more then you really will ever know. They removed 14 pounds of fluid from hubby today and put him on some diuretics and tomorrow I have to make some phone calls because he will need more care. He is home now and resting. I am usually a very strong person but am feeling a bit overwhelmed right now so with God's help from family and friends I/we will get through this. Again, a big thanks to all of you.
Oh LL...So sorry, wish I was there to help you. ((hugs for you))

Heater's back up and running so that's good news. Chatteress is toasty once again.
My vent for today was the 2 hours it took me to travel via bus 10 miles to get home ... A bus did not show up and that threw the whole commute off where I wound up catching my connection an hour later than I was supposed to.

We have no medical insurance and hubby has been this way a few weeks and didn't want to go for treatment but today was the final straw and I put my foot down and made him go!! Please keep him in your prayers and let's hope he will be okay after they do this drainage. Thanks.
I pray your husband gets well. (hugs)
