"IT'S ABOUT TIME"

1) Do you have an ancestor or relative who lived to be 100?

2) At what age did you feel you'd achieved "maturity"?

3) "If I could be younger again, knowing what I know now, I'd go back to age __."
And why that age?

4) Were there turning points in your life at certain ages?
(besides the obvious ones like graduation, marriage, etc.)
[Perhaps moments that only you knew were significant.]
What is an example?

5) What would you put into a time capsule that'll be opened in 2222?

"IT'S ABOUT TIME"

1) Do you have an ancestor or relative who lived to be 100?
No

2) At what age did you feel you'd achieved "maturity"? 21

3) "If I could be younger again, knowing what I know now, I'd go back to age __." 19
And why that age? Before I was married and on my own since 18 and it was a happy and exciting time of my life.

4) Were there turning points in your life at certain ages? (besides the obvious ones like graduation, marriage, etc.) [Perhaps moments that only you knew were significant.] What is an example? The decision to move back to DC for a better paying job offer within the same agency. Allowed me to have more money in retirement down the road and escape (not in the abusive sense) my mother, former husband and my stagnant life.

5) What would you put into a time capsule that'll be opened in 2222? The US Constitution, a DSLR camera soon to be extinct and a picture of the Atlantic coast before wind turbines killed off all of the birds.

"IT'S ABOUT TIME"

1) Do you have an ancestor or relative who lived to be 100?

My maternal grandmother. She made it to 104.

2) At what age did you feel you'd achieved "maturity"?

Early 30s.

3) "If I could be younger again, knowing what I know now, I'd go back to age __."
And why that age?

I would go back to the summer before the start of 5th grade. Lots of things I would do differently.

4) Were there turning points in your life at certain ages?

What is an example?

My moms death. That hit me pretty hard. I was 25.

5) What would you put into a time capsule that'll be opened in 2222?

Detailed maps of everything that can be mapped. Topography. Water levels and river routes. City layouts. Roadways. Country borders. 200 years from now how much of that will be different ?

"IT'S ABOUT TIME"

1) Do you have an ancestor or relative who lived to be 100? No, don't think so. My mom lived until 96.

2) At what age did you feel you'd achieved "maturity"? 20-21

3) "If I could be younger again, knowing what I know now, I'd go back to age __." 18
And why that age? After high school graduation, I thought my only choice was to be a secretary, like all the other girls during the 50's. I was wrong.

4) Were there turning points in your life at certain ages? At age 38, I discovered I was bored with low paying secretarial jobs. It was difficult working, raising 3 little kids, and being a farmer's wife.....happy, but worn out. At that point, I went to college evenings majoring in elementary education, did well and realized my full potential. I took a business course, and that was a springboard for my thurst for knowledge of real estate and investments. I acquired a real estate license, dabbled in that for a couple of years, then acquired more education, and found my place as a State Certified Real Property Appraiser, followed by opening my own business in 1993. (besides the obvious ones like graduation, marriage, etc.)
[Perhaps moments that only you knew were significant.] While working as a secretary in my early days, one of my "bosses" said I was wonderful at my job, and was a valued employee. Because of all that, he gave me a 5 cent an hour raise.
What is an example? I said "no thanks" grabbed my potted plant and pictures off my desk and walked out, followed by my boss shouting "Wait! Wait!". I vowed that would be my last low-paying job.

5) What would you put into a time capsule that'll be opened in 2222? Never give up! Never short-change yourself! Search until you find your place in the world. Respect yourself and what you're capable of doing.

Thanks for Q of the Day!

"IT'S ABOUT TIME"

1) Do you have an ancestor or relative who lived to be 100? No, almost, 99.

2) At what age did you feel you'd achieved "maturity"? 40’s.

3) "If I could be younger again, knowing what I know now, I'd go back to age __."
And why that age? 18, and do a redo.

4) Were there turning points in your life at certain ages?
(besides the obvious ones like graduation, marriage, etc.)
[Perhaps moments that only you knew were significant.]
What is an example? At 57 I lost my job and decided not to work anymore, although I did work for Five years for a friends business but I worked my own terms. I was more happy and relaxed.

5) What would you put into a time capsule that'll be opened in 2222? Newspapers.

Good morning.

1) Do you have an ancestor or relative who lived to be 100?
Yes, 3 or 4 of them. And I inherited the gene, apparently. Someone read it in my astrology chart and again in my hand. They (my relatives) all looked much younger, died in their sleep (sounds wonderful to me!) and were happy.
2) At what age did you feel you'd achieved "maturity"?
I started to feel it around 38-40.
3) "If I could be younger again, knowing what I know now, I'd go back to age __."
And why that age?
I would not do it. "My kingdom is not of this world..."
4) Were there turning points in your life at certain ages?
Yes, mostly every 12 years.
(besides the obvious ones like graduation, marriage, etc.)
[Perhaps moments that only you knew were significant.]
What is an example?
At 36, after a personal crisis.
5) What would you put into a time capsule that'll be opened in 2222?
A quote of Sri Yukteswar.
"Forget the past. The vanished lives of all men are dark with many shames. Human conduct is ever unreliable until man is anchored in the Divine. Everything in future will improve if you are making a spiritual effort now."

Thanks.

1) Do you have an ancestor or relative who lived to be 100? No, but an aunt made it to 99, my mother-in-law made it to 95, and my Mom is still alive at 93 so there is still a chance.

2) At what age did you feel you'd achieved "maturity"? I would say 28, when I was first promoted to supervisor, bought our first house had our first kid.

3) "If I could be younger again, knowing what I know now, I'd go back to age 45__."
And why that age? The great job I have now was open then, and instead of starting at age 57 I could have been here 12 more years.

4) Were there turning points in your life at certain ages? Yes, several.
(besides the obvious ones like graduation, marriage, etc.)
[Perhaps moments that only you knew were significant.]
What is an example? Age 19, when I did a 2-1/2 month long 18,000 mile cross country road trip visiting 44 states; and at age 40 when we moved to another state.

5) What would you put into a time capsule that'll be opened in 2222? An older iPhone, a flash drive, a DVD, and a Twinkie (which would still be edible then).
