A Few of Our Favorite Things

Seeing the first hummingbird of the year on the feeder today.
The smell of geraniums on my hands after picking off the spent flowers.
Weeding and putting fresh mulch on a flower bed.
Looking forward to a week of clear skies and sunshine.

Watching my flowering Rainbow take shape thru all 4 seasons, is one of my favorite things.

• Spring breeze blowing in from opened window
• Waking up in morning to the sound of a rooster.
• Smelling fresh flowers dancin'... in my rainbow-garden.
• The sound of children playing in the field.
• Hugs, more hugs, lotsa long hugs
• Ice skating to 100 beautiful music renditions
• The warmth of Loved-one next to you in bed.
• Talkin' with Jesus before drifting off into peaceful slumber, just after the sun sets.

• Watching a falling star in the night sky.

Bread that's solid and complements a meal, not the over-manufactured fluff that's called bread.

Pink snow from the cherry tree as the rhododendron bloom.
Hot tea early in the morning.
Eating food which someone has cooked for me.
Listening to the enthusiastic description of someone's adventure or discovery.

Our winters are mild here in the Ozarks of Arkansas ( compared to Minnesota where I lived for 66 years )


But, first thing after getting dressed in the morning in winter , I set the coffee pot up ( Folgers Classic ) then go outside to bring in the chip from trail cam and fill bird feeders.


Opening the kitchen door to the warmth of the house and the smell of coffee brewing is a memory I will cherish always.

Fresh Eggs
Fresh Bread as one person said.. real bread with taste
Chocolates Dark and Bitter Sweet
Clothes that just came in from the clothes line
A Hug from a grandchild
The content cat curled up on your lap.. purring
A thank you from a stranger
