- A big friendly dog with a grin of his face when he sees me.
- Barn cats that love their job but will always come for a scratch behind the ears.
- A nice restored classic car at a car show or just passing on the highway.
- Big rural skies, broad open horizons and a very bright Milky Way.
- Lots of good hand tools and a place to use them.
- The booming woody sound of a well-played, large bodied Gibson or Martin acoustic guitar.
But most of all my favorite thing is:
- Having my wife in my life.
-Mine as a kid.. and told don't do it... was biting off the pointy end of the ice cream cone and sucking out the ice cream
- Playing with fire crackers
- Swing on the rope swing over the pond.. then playing Marco Polo with the cows in the pond..
- Building tree forks.. a zillion feet off the ground as a kid... " NO GIRLS ALLOWED "
- Playing baseball with the grandson age 4
- Getting into trouble.......... as a kid............................................... ................................. and adult
I'm with ya, High Plains! But we don't have goldfish and I don't have a spouse, so... Anything to do with the quiet farm country life.
Looking out your kitchen window and watching the dog chase a butterfly in the back yard, in green grass.
Those great tasting hot dogs at the ball park
Halloween........... and candy......................................... razing
Horse Back riding just like Roy Roger.......... till I fell off O
Those great six shooter cap guns.. and the rolled caps.. made of metal
Going to camp...... age 7-8 and discovering " GIRLS"
Being sick and staying home from school... and listening to the party line.. and who's doing what in town ?
