Yesterday I did not include Evgeni Viktorovich Plushenko Best Performance Eleven 6.0s!!
Evgeni
received a total of seventy five 6.0s, the world record, in his career.
The only man in the history of figure skating who landed quad+3toe+3loop perfectly. He is a legend.
Artistically so magical & exquisite...he just flows across the ice.
BUT
now at a high price: current scoring methods force way too much Technical. Not nearly enough time for the Artistry to evolve. It's become a jumping contest. Skaters suffer more injuries and have to put their careers on hold to heal, or just retire.
Sure others will follow, like Nathan Chen in yesterday's line-up.
Too wondering if Evgeni's 2 children will follow their Legendary dad.
clean sheets
hearing red winged black birds
the sound of water blurbling over rocks
dark chocolate
raspberries
seeing people spend time with their dogs
When you hiked up a mountain, standing there looking around you and see mountain tops everywhere. Maybe seeing a few Raven flying by. Trying to yodel and the yodel comes back to you via an echo. Smelling and seeing the alpine flowers while you hike up or down, hearing the bells ringing from brown alpine cows grazing on the alpine meadows. Passing a brook, take a drink from the crystal clear water and splashing that cold running water from the glaciers in your face.
