I work at a restaurant. I have seen a lot that turns me off from eating out. Seeing a cockroach or mouse in the kitchen is a daily thing when I work.

Can you give us an example of any reference book you own? I have several dictionaries and a shelf of antique tractor reference books. I also have a bookcase full of county histories and published and unpublished family histories that directly pertain to my family's histories. I also have numerous other genealogy reference books containing information about my ancestors military service, maps of where they once lived, land records, their wills and other information. I probably have one the largest collections anywhere of reference books and unpublished materials regarding my surname.

What natural place you've personally visited did you find most impressive? Yosemite NP was nice although there is an unknown small canyon in New Mexico that I once found to be extremely impressive because there were no tourists each time I was there. It shall forever remain a secret with me.

The beach at Gorda where you have to go through a small opening between boulders to get to the beach. The beach is called the baths and it's the best beach I've been to so far. It's an adventure just getting there. There are some nice pictures on line.

Thanks bjh. It's a cold one. Our high today is supposed to be 9 degrees but it's 5 right now. I was out cleaning up the yard in my new Canadian Weather Gear coat and I didn't feel a thing. I think I need to go for a walk today and get out of the house. The boys will have to stay behind. It's all about the gear.

Can you give us an example of any reference book you own? The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks. I own many of the Foxfire series books. I also own Grey's Anatomy

What natural place you've personally visited did you find most impressive? When I was little it was Colossal Cave. As an Adult, I would have to say that I find Sabino Canyon to be very beautiful and a lovely place to hike and swim.

-Denny's? When I was little my father use to take me to Denny's in the different states we travelled to.

-IHOP? a few times
-Waffle House? This was another restaurant my father use to take me to in different states. I've probably been to a waffle house in every one of the lower 48 states.
-Other diners? Stucky's. As a child of parents who were travelling salesman...I have eaten at many a Stucky's.
Any thoughts, memories, ideas to share about diners? Some of the best diners are those little hole in the wall type. Interesting people, decent food and just a cool vibe. I remember I use to collect magnets from all the diners we would visit. I wish I still had them.
