Do you pick up Pennies?
Not anymore, I stopped doing that a few years ago. I picked up a Penny one time.. and she started screaming at the top of her lungs, then she hit me with her purse nearly fracturing my skull!

I don't pick them up..I always figured that someone in need may be looking for any change that may be found laying on the ground, so I pass on by..

Good to your room Mike!

I always pickup pennies, I’ve got a special reason that too long to go into. But they are special to me and I enjoy getting them.

No I don't, but only because I'm lazy and don't feel like bending over. The other day I was jogging in the woods on a trail and saw a couple quarters, dimes and nickels laying on the ground. I was still too lazy to even pick those up

My kids ALWAYS pick em up though

Thanks Qbaby, after reading your poem, I feel I MUST Pick up every penny now!!!!! LOL

Wink what happened to our money?

You should always carry a buck wadded up in your purse just for that type of event. When you see the money on the ground ~ toss the wadded up buck down beside the change. Now it’s worthwhile to pick it all up and go walking away happy.

You know there is inflation and a devalued currency if we don’t want to pickup any change on the ground. I found a dime the other day and was very happy ~ until I couldn’t find anything to buy with it.

Yes, I do. Hubby and I are 'numismatists'. Can never let a coin just lie/lay there. Maybe just that one that we need. Have found a few that way in the past. Fill my little books and then for birthday or Christmas presents give to grandsons. Keep a few here also. Hey, does anyone have a 1909S VDB Lincoln penny that they don't want? Just DM me and I'll be happy to take it off your hands.

I just heard the other day that it costs 2 cents to make a penny and 10 cents to make a nickel. Go figure,,,,,, and they print out hundreds of dollar bills for little or nothing.

LOL ~ it’s fun to collect coins but I’ve always find that the kids don’t always enjoy them as much as we do. It’s interesting how much increased value the coins have over a few years.
