If it's something I really like I will get a little emotional

Right now they are even with my fingertips, I have terrible nails so I usually keep them short

Just for Fun:

Happy Monday December 22, everybody-and welcome to QOTD.

Today’s Question:
Do you watch/listen to “talk” shows with a monologue, interview(s), and musical guest ?
Occasionally I listen to an old Art Bell interview at night to get to sleep.
If so, which segment do you prefer/like best: the monologue, the interview, the music-or other parts of the show ?
I especially enjoy the interviews about Big Foot or space aliens. Crop circles are also fun.

Extra Credit:
Have you ever found yourself getting emotional at the conclusion of a tv series
(when the shows ends permanently, with no more episodes being made) ?
Possibly but I can't think of any where I watched, or heard, the very last show.

Bonus:
How long or short are your fingernails:
Are they shorter than,
longer than,
or even with (end at) fingertips ?
Even less. I think I killed my cuticles working with formalin while in school.

Just for Fun:
Have you ever smoked a cigar or (tobacco) pipe ?
Both but I quit years ago.
Do you like or dislike either of those smells ?
I don't like the smell in enclosed spaces like a house or a car but I love the smell of fresh burning tobacco.

Today in History:
1948: Birth of American actress Lynne Thigpen (d.2003), known as “The Chief” on Carmen Sandiego.
I wonder if she's related to Texas' First Lady?

Welcome all to a fresh new work week. I hope it is a productive yet a safe week for you.

Today’s Question:
Do you watch/listen to “talk” shows with a monologue, interview(s), and musical guest? Yes, sometimes.
If so, which segment do you prefer/like best:
the monologue, the interview, the music-or other parts of the show? It depends on who the host is and who the guests are. I really like the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. I enjoy all the parts of his show, even the silly stunts and games. I think he's brilliant.

Extra Credit:
Have you ever found yourself getting emotional at the conclusion of a tv series
(when the shows ends permanently, with no more episodes being made)? It's hard to recall, but I probably got emotional when M*A*S*H ended in 1982. It'll be hard for me when Downton Abbey ends this winter, after the 5th season. I keep hoping its writers will decide to go ahead with another season, but they're saying the 5th will be the last. The 5th season starts on 01/04/2015.

Bonus:
How long or short are your fingernails:
Are they shorter than,
longer than,
or even with (end at) fingertips? Right now they are even with my fingertips. I had them longer until just recently but had to cut them off because I've been playing guitar at church. Can't play guitar if I let my nails grow long; too hard to hold down the strings so they don't buzz.

Just for Fun:
Have you ever smoked a cigar or (tobacco) pipe? I've smoked several cigars over the years. Alcohol was involved as well. I used to have a tradition with my girlfriends that when we attended a wedding reception we'd go through the traditional shots-and-cigars line with the men. We'd have our shots and then would light up our cigars and laugh our butts off. We were always sorry the next morning, when we couldn't get that awful tobacco taste out of our mouths!
Do you like or dislike either of those smells? I usually don't like the smell of cigar smoke at all, although there are some that have a nice aroma. I do like aroma of some pipe tobaccos. (They remind me of my dad and my grandpa when I was a little girl.) However, I'd just prefer to not be around any smoke at all anymore.

Today’s Word:
samovar /ˈsaməˌvär/ (n.): An elaborate and ornate Russian urn used to boil water for tea. Interesting word!

Today Is:
National Haiku Poetry Day ok
National Date Nut Bread Day I made 6 loves of banana walnut bread last night.
National Mathematics Day (India) Math? I hate math. I was good at in school, but always hated it, especially algebra.

Happy Monday, everyone!

Only by accident when I walk into the room when SO is watching.

Extra Credit:

Yeah, I got like that when Star Trek Voyager ended. Maybe a little with X-Files.

Bonus:

Try to keep them just barely longer than fingertips. Otherwise, it makes typing difficult.

Just for Fun:
Have you ever smoked a cigar or (tobacco) pipe ?
Nope
Do you like or dislike either of those smells ?
Hate cigars. I liked SO's pipe except in the car.

Thanks for the questions Cloven and hope you're having a blast this holiday!

When possible, I find Dr Phil to be a good show.
My nails grow very fast so I have to trim them down often. Right now they are long and when I use my keyboard on the comp, they sound like I'm tapping them.
I don't smoke anything but do enjoy a really brief whiff of cigar once in awhile, just a real quick whiff.
Have a good Monday everyone~~~

Today’s Question:
Do you watch/listen to “talk” shows with a monologue, interview(s), and musical guest ?
Nothing on TV, however there are some talk radio shows that provide news and information but the listener MUST know that not everything they hear is valid and truthful. Then there are SOME of the hosts that are very popular nationwide that I AVOID, the radio goes OFF right away because of their failures in providing anything of value to the listeners.
If so, which segment do you prefer/like best:
the monologue, the interview, the music-or other parts of the show ?
I usually enjoy their news of the day, sometime they'll have intelligent callers that provide good information and thought as well.

Extra Credit:
Have you ever found yourself getting emotional at the conclusion of a tv series

No,

Bonus:
How long or short are your fingernails:

never too long or too short... I keep 'em trimmed

Just for Fun:
Have you ever smoked a cigar or (tobacco) pipe ?
Yes, I tried a cigar once or twice but can't smoke 'em. Pipe tobacco isn't bad but it was a problem to carry around.
Do you like or dislike either of those smells ?
I hate all types of tobacco smoke and avoid it at all costs..... Cigars are the worst, they're like burning garbage odor.....

Stay warm and safe with all the cold, snow and ice out there in some areas of the nation.
