Today’s Question:
Do you watch/listen to “talk” shows with a monologue, interview(s), and musical guest ? I don't. I'll occasionally watch a clip from the Jimmy Fallon show (whatever that is).

Have you ever found yourself getting emotional at the conclusion of a tv series
(when the shows ends permanently, with no more episodes being made) ? Nope. I remember missing MASH when it ended, but can't think of any others.

How long or short are your fingernails:
Are they shorter than,
longer than,
or even with (end at) fingertips ?

Have you ever smoked a cigar or (tobacco) pipe ? A cigar -- disgusting!
Do you like or dislike either of those smells ? There is some pipe tobacco that smells nice.

Thanks Cloven. Happy Monday everyone!

If so, which segment do you prefer/like best:
the monologue, the interview, the music-or other parts of the show ?
I haven't watched any since NBC got rid of Jay Leno. Whoever made that decision deserves to be fired. I used to record his shows, but only watched the monologue.

I don't watch many shows, so no.

No
Do you like or dislike either of those smells ?
Dislike the smell, although not as much as some e-cigarettes. There's a kiosk at a local mall that sells those that makes me want to cough every time I walk by it.

I like the discussions. I used to watch The View because I enjoy Whoopi but I no longer watch because I am not a fan of Rosie O'Donnell. I do watch Jimmy Kimmel from time to time. I think he's funny.

Yes. MASH and China Beach come to mind.

I keep them short because I play the guitar.

Just for Fun:

I tried a cigar once.

Do you like or dislike either of those smells ?
Pipes usually smell nice but cigars don't, IMO.

Mornin' all!

Today’s Question:
Do you watch/listen to “talk” shows with a monologue, interview(s), and musical guest ?
If so, which segment do you prefer/like best:
the monologue, the interview, the music-or other parts of the show ?
I don't generally watch talk shows, unless I'm particularly interested in the guest. Then I like the interview, if it's in-depth, and not only about the guest's latest work that they're promoting. I like to know what makes people tick.

Extra Credit:
Have you ever found yourself getting emotional at the conclusion of a tv series
(when the shows ends permanently, with no more episodes being made) ?
Not that I can remember.

Bonus:
How long or short are your fingernails:
Are they shorter than,
longer than,
or even with (end at) fingertips ?
All of the above. My ring finger and pinkie nails are usually the perfect length, just around 1/8" past the end of my fingertips. The rest are almost always broken and short.

Just for Fun:
Have you ever smoked a cigar or (tobacco) pipe ?
Just a pipe.

Do you like or dislike either of those smells ?
Even as a former smoker, the smell of cigarettes doesn't bother me too much if it's not excessive, but I don't like the smell of cigars. For my 40th birthday I bought myself a pipe (a churchwarden), which I haven't smoked in years. I have always loved the smell of pipe tobacco. It reminds me of my grandpa. :'-)

Sometimes I do, but I'm not sure that the one in Italy are the same as in the US.

If so, which segment do you prefer/like best: the monologue, the interview, the music-or other parts of the show ?

when there are good singers I surely enjoy it, and then I also follow the interviews to some famous people that for some reason I like (comedians, but also scientist and some actors for example). However I don't have a passion for monologues.

Spoiler

The U2 singing live in the TV show "che tempo che fa", 10/12/14

No, because I usually don't like the ending of the tv series (or they are just interrupted without a proper ending).

I keep my fingernails really short, according to my sister even "too short"

Just for Fun:

Do you like or dislike either of those smells ?

No, I don't smoke.

Just the monologue.

Not really, I am watching some of the older programs like M*A*S*H on MEtv.

A few.

Usually the "bits", recurring segments.
I tend to find most of the interviews boring, same with the music.

Extra Credit:

Yes, incl. fictional dramas (such as "Six Feet Under").

Once smoked a cigar at a party when I was a teenager, but otherwise no.
Do you like or dislike either of those smells ?
Dislike both-but my father used to smoke cigars, so the scent is a little nostalgic for me.

^Had heard/read this term being used for a dispenser of hot water for beverages in general,
not just referring to container of this specific type/origin.

the monologue, the interview, the music-or other parts of the show ? Only once in a while, and it's usually to see a musical guest. After 'Johnny Carson', none have appealed to me.

Extra Credit:

Do you like or dislike either of those smells ? I like pipe smells and some cigars. In fact, where smells go I'll take regular ol' cigarette smoke over 'pot' anytime. One of my main concerns about pot legalization is that stench. Lordy, I can't stand it!

Thanks, Cloven! Have a great week, everyone.
