Yesterday we received word that our Tennis Club's manager and his new wife had most of what they owned destroyed by the remnants of Ida, and we were asked to write him checks. I decided to give him $100. Yesterday I have one of the workers a tip for getting three out of the nine courts open between Thursday morning and yesterday.

The club's manager and his bride's apartment was largely destroyed in the flood. I donated $120, the Club president $1000 and another member $100. Hopefully there will be a magnficent outpouring of help.

I hope that someone cooks for them. Eating fast food for weeks is horrible.

Thanks for reminding me of that song.

I am grateful for;
  1. The start of a new Jewish year, 5782;
  2. Waking up to blue skies and dry weather, after dodging serious impacts from the remnants of two tropical storms, Henri and Ida; and
  3. The volunteers that made CD function as well as it does.
