Good morning peevers.

I trust that you're looking forward to the weekend.

I've read something in the local paper about a forthcoming event which I think I would like to go to. We've also had a brochure put through the letterbox advertising and detailing that event.

Quite often in the past I've only found out about something when it's too late, and that can be down to lack of publicity.

Today's peeve focuses around this and is;

Finding out about something when it's too late.

Finding out about something when it's too late.

I've missed funerals and visitations that I didn't know about because someone passed away over the weekend. Our local paper doesn't hit until Thursday.

Me too....I usually find out about local funerals too late.

Although I wouldn't mind finding out about "my own" too late

On that same theme, people deciding at the last minute to hold an event that many would love to attend if they'd received advanced notice.

Our mayor did this and announced an event the day before he wanted to hold it. No way that anyone could attend with less than 24 hours notice

I was away on the date of my 40th birthday and my leave was delayed with 48hrs notice. I couldn't get back and my wife had arranged a surprise gathering to celebrate it. Well all the invites had gone out so the party went ahead. The next day our friends put the pics' onto thier FB accounts and i saw them when i logged onto the wifes account.....

Looked a great party.................. Shame i missed it.

Yes, I hate when that happens! Especially when a friend who knew about it in advance tells me after the fact. Sure wish they'd have said something sooner.

I love when I hear on the news that there was a great concert or other event that I would have gone to if they'd bothered to tell me about it before it happened.

Idiots.

This always happens to me! I don't receive the newspaper so I have to depend on advertisements on tv or the internet and I don't watch that much tv anymore so I miss out on a lot of stuff. I need to find a way to be better informed.

Like a week ago when I was sitting at the originally posted gate for my flight only to hear the announcement that it had just left from another gate. There was no announcement of a gate change. Yeppers, I was mightily PO'd there was no announcement of a gate change.
