Hi, kids! Today's Tip actually comes from Tek_Freek
(thank you, Tek!). Scroll on down and check it out.

TEK'S TIP

This came from the Pet Peeve of The Day by Jezer. The "Running Out of Something Important" thread.

Have a smart phone? Get something like this:
http://www.appbrain.com/app/grocery-...pons.GroceryIQ (broken link)

and this:
http://www.appbrain.com/app/barcode-...client.android (broken link)

and scan anything you are about to run out of! Next time you're at the store you have a list on your phone.

Thanks again, Tek! Cool stuff for those who aren't technically challenged as I am! I don't have a smart phone and don't even understand what applications are. But I think many of the people here on C-D have technical gizmos and will appreciate this way-cool Tip! - PJ

I'm putting "smart phone" at the top of my "running out of list" that's stuck on the refrigerator. I knew I'd need to buy one sooner or later.
Spoiler
Isn't that what post it notes are for?
Although a good tip if you have the phone!

Droids! Yep, the so-called smart phones do everything except communicate well!

I'll stick with writing it on my hand, but thanks for the tip anyway!

Great tip, Pam. Maybe this will encourage some of us to get a more advanced phone, but I'm tech. challenged. Can barely use the one I have and it's about three years old.

I am totally with u... I am not feeling this one at all... I got a phone too smart for my own good, but not smart enough to pay for itself...
A good analogy for how I feel about this tech is an indifferent marriage. I only give in when I have to
