Have you ever left the country ? Just last month I was in Vancouver & Calgary.
What was your best vacation? Took our RV to Ohio to visit theme parks (coasters!!!) and the museum at Wright Patterson AFB.

Aisle or window seat? I like window seats on the F side. I can fall asleep really easily against that wall. For some reason I can't get comfortable enough in an A side seat.
Front or middle or back of the plane? Doesn't matter.
Do you mind sitting in the emergency exit seat? No problem. That's a premium seat now.
Have you ever been scared or afraid during a flight? I get a little uncomfortable when we hit turbulence ever since that US Air flight went down near Pittsburgh airport in the early 90's. That wreck bugs me for some reason.

When was the last time you took a vacation? March 2010. Have you ever left the country? Yes. I've been to Canada several times, and in March last year went on my first cruise, which took me to Mexico, Guatemala and Belize.
What was your best vacation? It's a tie between the cruise and a trip I took to Washington state i 1993. The biggest thrill of my life on a vacation was when I hiked on Mt. Rainier.

It depends entirely on the destination, how much time I have, etc. I've never been on a train ride longer than 1.5 hours, but think I would really enjoy a cross-country train trip. Would like to try that sometime.

No, I don't mind it. Have you ever been scared or afraid during a flight? Yes. I'm a little claustrophobic, and if I can't see out the window I feel panicky. I was on a short flight one time in thick fog, and it was a very bumpy ride, too. That was around 1979, and I was really frightened! Not sure whether it would bother me as much now, but I remember being really freaked out by the fact that the windows looked like they were painted grey.

I have not been on vacation since last summer and Mt. Airy NC was my very best in a long time. I love North Carolina I see stars every time I think about Goobers I see stars and fireworks in a good way every time I think of it.
I have been out of the country but it has been a minute.
I prefer a combination of travel plane, car, train...
I don't really have a preference flying beyond first or business class.
I am sure I have been embarrassed by family and I have embarrassed family and that's all I have to say about that.
I don't know about any family traditions per se. When u have boys the traditions are really not that set.

It has been probably 15 years since I took a real vacation. That was a 2 week road trip thru Washington and Oregon and the very Northern tip of California.

Oh once or twice or so many times I have lost count. However it has always been work related.
What was your best vacation?
When I was 10 and my dad had to go to school in Oklahoma. We took a week getting there, spent 16 weeks there and 2 weeks getting back to Alaska. During that time we went to the Ozark Mountains, the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Glacier National Park, the Meteor Crater, the Petrified Forest, the Painted Desert, and drove the Alaskan Highway.

Never scared or afraid. I was concerned once going into Detroit. We were on final approach when the pilot went to full power and we started climbing real fast. The next day I saw on the news there had been a near miss at Detroit. One of the flights listed was the one I was on.

What was your best vacation? Too many to list - but the several road trips in the US have all been amazing and train tripping around Europe a couple of times was a lot of fun too.

What is your preferred method of travel ? Plane? Unfortunately, to leave Australia, a plane is pretty much mandatory! Train? Love, love, love long train trips - the best one ever was LA to New Orleans - so much fun, plus we had a cabin so relatively comfortable. Cruise? These can be good, but I prefer river cruises to ocean cruising Car? This for road trips Motorcycle? No thanks! Foot? No way!

On an Airplane do you prefer... Aisle or window seat? On long flights I find it easier to sleep/doze in the window seat Front or middle or back of the plane? Ideally close to the front (quicker to disembark) - prefer not to sit over the wing because I like to look out of the window during daylight flights (clouds are just as interesting as views of the land far below) Do you mind sitting in the emergency exit seat? I would prefer this but these days they are sometimes more expensive

Has anyone in your family ever embarrassed you? My father - constantly.
If so what have they done? Too many things to list - he's awful in restaurants, always bails up the maitre 'd to criticise something and woe betide any wait person who doesn't respond to his arm waving straight away. Plus every time I speak to him he asks me if my best friend is "still gay". One of these days I'm going to ask dad if he's still straight.
