I don't even know why they do it anymore. No one likes having someone knock on their door to sell them something, religion or otherwise.

I put the people that stop you on the street in the same category. Even when it's something I really believe in and would be willing to donate money to, I am just so annoyed by the fact the organization is stupid enough to put people on the street that I can't even be bothered to talk to them about something I totally agree with.

Not any door to door salespeople out here!!!

Last week I called the Sheriff's Department to report that my daughter had found several credit cards on the river bottoms behind the house. When the officer arrived he was unaware that our house even existed as you can't really see it from the road. We like it this way!

Sadly, that never seems to prevent the annoying BIL and his air headed GF from showing up unannounced. Oh well, can't have everything my way! Lol

Calls, I just ignore them.

Want to slow down the telemarketers? It's simple. When they call, you enthusiastically ask "Would you just hold on for a moment so we can talk about it?" ... then put the phone down and walk away for a few minutes. As he waits for you, you've taken away time for him to make two or three more calls. If everyone did that, we could cut down telemarketers phone calls 50 to 67 percent!

I respect anyone trying to make a living in order to provide for their families. I personally refuse to be rude to another human being regardless.

Had one last night. Right after company came the doorbell rang. Mrs. Tek answered (I won't be bothered) and all I heard was, "No thank you", and the door closing.

We have also have had a tone of calls from some asses at a placed called Edison Media something. They claim they are doing research and are exempt from the do not call list, but if we get one more call from them we are contacting the feds and we'll let them test that theory for us.

I've decided it's about time to change our land line calling options and add call blocking to the service. Enough already.
