At graduation tonight a girls name was called and there was an immediate standing ovation. Then I see a small frail girl make it across the stage. She could have passed for a 6th grader but she sure had the love of the town behind her. It was a really moving experience.
I found out why she got so much attention. She has been battling cancer and been in and out of the hospital a lot this year and still graduated with high honors.
At an outdoor lunch today a small flock of wild chickens passed by within 20 feet of us minding their on business just like they knew exactly where they were going.
Haha, I can picture that - "places to go, people to see."

I saw so many things this past weekend that made me smile, my cheeks still hurt. Life is good.
Seeing and being a part of a celebration for two of my very best friends who are marrying eachother in August.
Seeing the looks on several friends faces on Sunday morning when faced with a hangover and the end results of a very large and boisterous two day party to clean. I laughed, then winced because I laughed too loudly.
Looking through my camera at pictures I have no recollection of taking
Seeing two people who were like an extra set of parents to me in high school smile when I walked in their door unannounced after not seeing them for several years.
Seeing an old friend walk up to me in the bar friday night out of nowhere and hand me a cup of "water". Soon found to be actually tequila, which was horrible, but it was good to see him smile and reach for the hug I was attempting through my sputtering.
And so many more. I'm still smiling.
