That's certainly great news to hear, and we've been waiting for it for almost 10 years now, and after our cherished men and women of the military, who served, and are serving, and many of whom have given their lives, in Afghanistan, Iraq, and everywhere else in this troubled world.
Bin Laden was only the tip of the iceberg, I'm sure in all the years he's been the leader of Al Qaeda, many have wanted to follow in his footsteps, and I'm sure they'll meet the same end, without causing any additional loss of life in our military, and civilians anywhere in the world. I also hope his end will bring an end to Al Qaeda as well.
If it IS true, I hope it doesn't cause an escalation in terrorism.
I do too. My son is stationed at Fort Hood and he said security was increased today, but he didn't know why. He assumes it's because of this. He's going back to Iraq in a couple of weeks, so I really hope this does't stir things up any.
Let's see what happens these few days. I am not jubillant.
They are at Times Square and In front of the White house. People may miss work tomorrow!
