my 1st car was a 1973 Dodge Dart, it was two tone (sky blue and rust) slant-6 it just wouldn't die. I was 16 and I was trying to kill it, adding oil whenever the light came on, jumping the railroad tracks daily.

One day the muffler fell, so I got under there with the hangers, about a week or so later the whole bottom of the car fell.

this stock photo looks nothing like it.

1973 Dodge Dart Swinger

My favorite car I still own, isa 92 Nissan NX 2000.

great little car, good on gas, very responsive (punch it and it goes). Very nice car. and Nissan makes a great engine.

My first car was a 1967 Chrysler New Yorker, with a 440 C.I. V-8 engine, that wasn't a car, and it wasn't a boat, it was a tank! It used to belong to my father, but I bought it from him for $700 right after I got my driver's license in March of 1974. If I remember correctly, it made about 10 miles to the gallon.. or was it 10 gallons to the mile! LOL.. Back then gas was around 80 cents a gallon.

It's like this car below, except mine was a dark tan color.

First car came along with the first hubby; it was neat - a 1973 Ford Maverick - sky blue body with a white top.

My favorite car was the only one I bought on my own - a 1993 Candy Apple Red Pontiac Gran Am. Man, I loved that little red car and the independence it signified.

My first car was a 1967 Pontiac Grand Prix. It had a ton of rust. It also had a lot of ponies under the hood.

My favorite vehicle was my 1994 Ford F150 XLT 4X4 Shortbed Pickup. Bought it new and drove it for 11 years.

The one favorite car that I had in the past was a 1984 Ford Mustang GT, with the 5.0 (302 C.I.) engine, and a 5-speed manual transmission, and a T-Top.

It was very similar to this one, but mine was red with black on the bottom below the rubber strips on the fenders and doors. I bought it in 1985, and I sold it in 1997 after putting close to 190,000 hard miles on it.

I had 3 "first cars". I was 15 yrs old and I just got my learners permit. My parents bought an ugly, but dependable 1970 something 4 door Chevy Nova for me to learn on. But my Mom drove it to work and left her car garaged most of the time. She ended up crashing the Nova. So I never got to drive it.

Then they bought me a 1980 something Pontiac Sunbird piece of crap. It was THE worst car to learn how to drive on. Learning how to drive on a stick shift that never wanted to work was the pits. However, since I learned how to drive on that thing, I can drive almost anything now.

Finally, the 3rd car that would technically be called my "first" car was given to me as a graduation present. It was a 1986 gold Buick Skylark. I only had that for about 8 months because the damn thing only ran when it wanted to.

Now I own my dream car. A 2001 New Beetle TDI, fully loaded, leather seats, cold weather package, sunroof and a 6 disc CD changer. I bought it brand new off the show room floor and I paid it off in 3 yrs. Since it's a turbo diesel engine it gets around 50 mpg. It still looks like new and I'll never sell it. Here's a picture that looks just like mine, same color but different wheels.

My first car was a 1950ish Humber 80 (twin of the Hillman Minx). Wikipedia has a pretty good page on these cars which were very common in New Zealand where I grew up.

My favorite car was a Subaru Impreza Outback Sport that I sold just over a year ago. Still miss that cute little car!
