I had a coworker who did it on the phone. He honestly thought people couldn't hear him..Rude!
A long time ago (decades!) I was a secretary and used to transcribe dictation that my boss recorded on tape. He used to chew gum and snap it while he was dictating, and I had to listen to that #%&@ in my headphones.
It's half the fun of bubble gum....always Bazooka; Double Bubble is second choice. I don't chew the stuff - haven't since I was a kid...but I approve of it, that's for sure. If you're gonna be that fussy over little things then you might have a great time over in the Writing forum, where the people are so fussy it's moronic. Dang, people....
Okay..I admit..I like snapping gum and blowing bubbles. I don't chew gum often, and I do adhere to appropriate times to do so. Wouldn't do it out in public, or at work, etc. LOL
You got me - put the cuffs on I don't chew gum much anymore, but when I did if it was bubble gum I blew bubbles and I did 'pop' my gum when I chewed it. Whew, what a relief to get that off my chest. I did however always dispose of it properly so that should be one plus.
Though like PJ was saying, there's nothing quite like transcribing dictation and hearing gum being popped, blowing noses and LOL I'm dying here - hearing them fart. I almost fell out of my chair when I was typing away and heard that LMAO
I work with sales people and we never make gum noise. It's been so long since I've heard anyone make noise with their gum until I've forgotten if it ever bothered me.
my dad used to smack his gum. it would drive me nuts.
i'm so glad i can't hear it anymore, not even aided. lol.
