I don't plan on ever acting my age - at least not all the time. I act appropriately at work and in other situations where it is socially required, but I have a very playful and fun side, downright silly sometimes, and I'm not going to stifle it! It keeps me young at heart. I also think that people generally like being around happy people. I feel like a million bucks when I make someone else smile or laugh.
Being fun and pleasant to be around is what makes someone "ageless". Actually, that's what I strive for and my grandchildren think it's OK being around me because I laugh a lot, still have pretty good energy, am interested in what they are doing and I can carry on a conversation with them.
Somebody told me this once that I should act my own age and do what others do at my age?
I'm 20 I didn't know that I was forced or strongly advised to do the things other teens do at my age. Like going to night clubs, work for your luxuries, abandon my studies, date women, leave women, have sex. Basically do everything that is fun and forget about responsibilities.
No wonder some of you people here complain so much about your relationships ohhh....you didn't act your own age did you? (j/k)
so What is it to act your own age I figure some grown ups here could give me a lesson or two.
Adults have more responsibilities, that's a no-brainer. But it all comes down to the individual, since everybody is different. When I was 20, I never went to clubs, since it's not and never has been my scene.
Didn't know somebody else had the same Idea. their so many topics in this forum which resemble each other that I don't even take time to check if they where created before me.
