Those homes should be in a decent place and probably just reflect the price for the housing market at this time. I would possibly look at crime stats on Orlando Sentinel's website and you can filter by that zip code to see any crimes that have occurred in that area within the last 30-90 days.

We're obviously not ready to move yet, I'm just getting ideas. $15 an hour definitely won't cut it, however. How does anyone survive on FL wages then?

Wow, they look pretty good and the neighborhood is pretty nice. Most people survive by having 2 income households. We do just fine making around 60K a year combined and I only work a few hours a week and our home cost more than those listed. Good luck again!

Great for him, if he is making that, he is one of the very few. It is stories like these that make alot of people move here and expect something that most times is not possible.

I agree, Wasn't trying to give people false hope if thats the way it came across, just saying not everyone is making crap wages I agree that mostly the wages are not great.

These are not Hunter's Creek. These are SouthChase. What is the difference? Many people who move to SouthChase end up moving to Hunter's Creek later (upgrading). You will definitely pay more for Hunter's Creek, but if you have the money, then do it.

I'd rent right now unless I found a good steal in Hunter's Creek.

You can use streetview on google maps to view the homes you were looking at. There is a big difference between south chase and hunters creek, but south chase is not a terrible area.

Hunter's Creek is alright. There have been break ins but that has gone down. Some of the areas around there arn't so great like Landstar, BVL, and North of HC which is Peppermill. But Hunter's Creek has a sense of community and great HOA's. They're building a lot of shops near there and it has some very great schools.
