Is the number of break-ins getting really high or am I just hearing about it more? We were thinking of moving there ... now I dont know.

I haven't heard about any break-ins in HC.
The neighborhood watch program there is awesome.
Plus, I see more Statie and OCSD cars both parked, as well as cruising all over the place.

HC is safe....You will be fine.

Uh, burglaries happen everywhere. I'm not just saying that as an excuse, I'm saying that because it's true. If you can find an area that has not had a single break in within one mile for a full year, that is populated by more than 100 humans, than please share. More or less you hear about them less in some areas than other, but you don't even want to know how common burglary is. One out of four US homes will be burglarized, at a rate of one every 9.1 seconds.

That I am aware of HC is still a nice part of town, It was probably just a random event not a downward trend.

Default Crime in Hunter's Creek?

Like any other community, Hunter's Creek has crime. However, the rate of crime is ridiculously low in Hunter's Creek compared with surrounding communities. The Homeowners' Association goes to great lengths to pay for off-duty uniformed patrol officers to keep our community as safe as possible

It will be interesting to see how it goes. I know there was an incident in Carrington a day or two ago. Just seems like a lot.
