I'm looking for a place to rent with my boyfriend. I already live in the greater Orlando area, so I need no warnings about it. I honestly love it despite the crime and other issues, and no I did not move here for a job at Disney or for frequent weekend trips there (even though it is a perk when friends or relatives visit).

We're looking at apartments in Lake Mary because he works in the Deltona area and I work in Downtown Orlando, so Lake Mary is like splitting the difference on travel distance and time (or it's a good compromise as far as we are concerned). Anyone have any information/experiences/thoughts/comments on these two apartment complexes? They are the Colonial Grand at TownPark and Bentley Park at Timacuan. We are only interested in 2-bedroom/2-bathroom apartments and the rent (when split) must be equal to or less than I pay for rent now ($825/month). Does anyone have any experiences living at these complexes? I'm not interested in noise complaints because every apartment is going to have those...it's inevitable. I'm interested in opinions on quality of construction, kitchen & bathroom size, floor plans, management, maintenance, fairness of pricing, amenities, etc. Any other recommendations for great apartment complexes in the Lake Mary or Heathrow area?

I generally like where I live right now (aside from a few bug issues and my close proximity to Pine Hills), but it's just not fair for my SO's commute to be upwards of an hour while mine is just 10 minutes. Lake Mary seems like a nice area (so many on these forums have said) and I'm looking to move into a more "suburban middle-class" type community/area.

Thanks in advance for all your help!

Both those places are great, with colonial grand being nicer and little pricer but under your budget, and you live on top of town park, shopping and restaurants key west style. Bentley parks also nice, I lived in golf view apts next door for over a year, also nice. I now own a house in Deltona.

Since your so close I would just drive up and check em out, you cant go wrong with either of the 3
