I need a good, reputable pool company. I am with Pinch a penny now and they are a rip off. 105 a month for pool plus spa weekly cleaning, and they are always hitting me with extra fees. There was the 200 dollar start up fee, the 60 dollar skimmer fee, and now, they are saying the Chlorine cell is broken conveniently, the month after the 3 year waranty is up. The cost? 600 bucks for the chlorine cell with installation.

Does anyone know a good pool company. I have a 25k gallon salt water pool.

Pool maintenance is a pain if you have a lot of other responsibilities in life. Sorry I can't recommend one but I feel your pain.

If you have a chlorine cell or salt water chlorine generator, just do it yourself. I haven't had to do much of anything since I switched to salt water.

I make quite a bit per hour, and time is money. My time off is golden. So I dont mind paying someone say, 60 bucks a month to bring the chemicals, test, clean, maintain, salt, etc ( I am thinking it would cost 30 bucks a month to "do it yourself" just with the chemicals, salt, testing, etc). But I also dont want to be scammed into stuff I dont need. Where does one learn about pools? Youtube?

Doesn't Leslie Pools offer some kind of "pool school" for cheap?

Just check youtube. I think I devout something like 15 minutes every other week to my pool. Since I've put in my salt water chlorine generator (around $1000 installed including salt) I haven't had to add any chemicals or salt. I just check the chlorine level and make sure there's enough salt and I'm done. Some people will tell you you the PH is important, and you can add chemicals for that, but it does not effect the pool as much as chlorine, especially if you don't have much metal in the pool. Personally, I would not pay someone even $25/month to do what I do, but to each his own.

$105/mo seems like a bargain. My old company tried to raise rates to $190 for full weekly service. I found someone to do it for $115 and feel great about it.

I'm paying Pinch-a-Penny $125/month and they don't do everything they are supposed to do. If I could find someone cheaper and reliable, I'd switch, too. I swear, that kid is in and out of here in like one or two minutes sometimes.
